DESCRIPTION: Responsible for Engineering and Programming functions. Defines, establishes, and enforces corporate policies and procedures. Provides technical support for internal and external customers. Experience with CNC Programming and Machining a must. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Provide leadership and direction to the Engineering teamManage Manufacturing EngineeringAssign work to direct reports, appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, address complaints and resolve problemsIdentify department training needs and provide for appropriate training of employeesManage CNC ProgrammingManage Document ControlIdentify and maintain appropriate staffing levelsDevelop and enforce implement and enforce ISO relevant Procedures.Implement and enforce technical information exchangeManage process improvement activitiesManage cost reduction projectsTechnical liaison for customerProject managementComply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices.Perform additional related duties as assigned.CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:Certified Engineering managerSix Sigma Green BeltLean Six SigmaProject managementLean Enterprise SolutionsEDUCATION ANDOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:BA or BS in Engineering with 10-15 years' experience in a contemporary CNC environment, ideally within the semiconductor industry (or equivalent combination of education and experience)Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and managementComputer literate including, but no limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPointOrganization and planning skillsAnalyticalwriting skillsAbility to plan and manage complex projectsAbility to plan and execute presentations to large groups of peoplePHYSICAL DEMANDS WHILE PERFORMING THE JOB:Sitting for extended periods of timeOccasionally walkingWORKING ENVIRONMENT OF THE JOB:The employee will be required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent exposure to hazardous materials commonly used in a manufacturing environment (i.e., safety glasses and shoes) when entering the shop floor area.Normal Office Environment
