This role is responsible for registering patients, verifying insurance, collecting co-pays, and ensuring accurate patient records. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as EPIC.Key Responsibilities:Greet and check in patients, ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information.Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility.Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances at the time of service.Register patients efficiently while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies.Assist patients in completing necessary forms and address any registration-related questions.Update and maintain patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.Schedule appointments and coordinate with medical staff to manage patient flow.Provide high-quality customer service by addressing patient concerns professionally.Handle incoming calls related to patient registration, insurance, and scheduling.Work closely with billing and finance departments to resolve registration discrepancies.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred).Experience in patient registration, medical front desk, or healthcare administration.Knowledge of insurance verification, co-pay collection, and billing procedures.Proficiency in EPIC or other EHR systems is a plus.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality policies.
