A boutique IP law firm is seeking an IPLitigation Paralegal to join their San Francisco office.The qualified candidate will assist attorneys, other paralegals, and litigation technology professionals in various litigation matters by playing a key role in supporting the firm's clients.This hands"on position provides support as an integral part of maintaining case files and process management through all stages of litigation. Availability for overtime and flexibility for travel are expected.Essential Job Functions:Management of all case files and logistics of a patent litigationHeavy involvement with eDiscoverydocument production processes with minimal supervisionPreparation of Court documents according to associated rules and requirementsWork with attorneys to calculate and enter casematter deadlines Review and make suggestions based on Appellate, Federal, and Local Rules, eDiscovery stipulations andor Protective Orders under supervision of attorneysManage confidential client information, including for source code reviews, document productions, and coordinating associated confidentialityprocedural requirements under supervision of attorneysTrial courtroom assistance, which may include tracking admitted exhibits and time used by all parties, anticipating the needs of attorneys in the courtroom, and organizingmanaging all courtroom resource materials Work both independently and in a team environment, alongside attorneys, junior, and senior paralegal staff, in the management of cases from pre"complaint through appealEducation, Experience, and Qualifications:College degree 5-7 years of experiencePractical experience as a litigation paralegalExceptional time management skillsExperience with electronic filings, and strong familiarity with Federal and Local court rulesKnowledge of common legal research platforms i.e. Westlaw, Lexis, etc. Experience with the full life cycle, logistics and components of a patent litigation, pre"complaint through appeal preferredExperience with trials preferredBluebooking and legal and factual cite checking proficiency preferred Knowledge and proficiency with appellate rules and procedures, including appellate briefing, compilation of appendices, and mandamus petition rules and procedures preferredKnowledge and proficiency with United States Patent and Trademark Office Post Grant Proceedings andor International Trade Commission 337 Investigations a plus
