Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and school district requirements.Job Description We are seeking an Assistant Construction Project Manager to oversee ground-up construction projects for school buildings across the Southern and Central New Jersey areas. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale educational construction projects, with expertise in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems, budgeting, scheduling, and submitting proposals. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a permanent hire position with projects cycles ranging from 18-24 months. Job DutiesPlan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of ground-up construction projects for school buildings. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Oversee the design, installation, and integration of MEP systems. Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and school district requirements. Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and school district representatives to ensure project goals are met. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety. Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines or budgets. Prepare and submit detailed project proposals, including cost estimates and timelines. Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders. Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and permits. Lead project meetings and coordinate communication between all project stakeholders. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
