Location: Muskegon, MIStart Date: ASAPSalary: $100,000 - $110,000 pyShift: 1st ShiftWe have partnered with a leading manufacturing company in their search for an experienced Controls Engineer to join their state-of-the-art facility in Muskegon, MI. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative engineering solutions that support various critical industries.Key Responsibilities:Systems Optimization: Take a holistic approach to evaluating and optimizing plant operations, focusing on improving efficiency and process flow.Electrical Systems & Controls: Oversee and troubleshoot facility electrical distribution systems, manufacturing process controls, PLCs, and Logic Systems used in production.Technical Engineering Support: Design, install, and modify HMI systems to enhance operational capabilities.Continuous Improvement Leadership: Drive initiatives to streamline processes, increase automation, and ensure safety and scalability within the plant.Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with teams across the facility, acting as a bridge between production floor staff and engineering to ensure seamless operations.Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze performance metrics and data to inform and optimize engineering decisions.Required Experience:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.You are a US Citizen, or a permanent resident.Strong background in managing and upgrading electrical systems and automation technologies.Expertise in electrical distribution systems, especially with voltage levels up to 600V.Experience with PLC programming (Rockwell Automation Allen Bradley PLC).Knowledge of industrial robotics and automation systems.Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.Strong project management skills, particularly in electrical system installations and automation projects.Experience with maintenance methodologies like Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Continuous Improvement processes (e.g., Six Sigma certification).If you feel like you have the necessary skills to be a success in this position, please apply for immediate consideration.
