Company DescriptionRCL Communications Systems is a low-voltage solutions integrator based in Hayward, CA, with over 40 years of healthcare experience. They specialize in nurse call, wireless emergency call systems, access control, intercom, and security cameras, ensuring the right balance of features and cost in every system they commission.Role DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Access Control Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in installing low voltage systems, including nurse call, security, access control, audiovisual equipment, and networking components.ResponsibilitiesInstall, terminate, and configure low voltage systems, including nurse call systems, security cameras, access control devices, intercom systems, and audiovisual equipment. Set up and configure network cabling, data communications, and telecommunications systems.Run and terminate low voltage cabling, including CAT5e, CAT6, and fiber optic cables. Ensure proper cable management and labeling for easy identification and troubleshooting.Collaborate with other technicians, contractors, and project managers to ensure the successful completion of low voltage projects. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical support.Create and maintain accurate documentation, including as-built drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.Provide detailed reports on installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.Ensure that all installations and configurations comply with relevant safety codes, regulations, and industry standards.Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and best practices.Participate in rotating on-call after 90 daysJob does include out of town travel jobs with full per diemQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications in low voltage systems are a plus.Proven experience as a Low Voltage Installation Technician or similar role.Strong understanding of low voltage electronics, cabling, and networking.Proficient in using hand and power tools for installation tasks.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Physical ability to lift and carry equipment, climb ladders, and work in various environments.Ability to travel to out of town job sitesBenefits:Pay is between $35-$50 per hour DOEWe offer competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k with employer matching, and professional development opportunities.RCL Communications Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
