Job descriptionPharmacy Technician - Compliance ManagerLocation: Mt Prospect, IL Schedule: Full-time; rotating shifts and weekends as neededOverview:We are assisting our client, a long-term care pharmacy, in their search for a Pharmacy Technician - Compliance Manager to support and oversee their pharmacy compliance program. This role ensures adherence to federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining a strong compliance culture within the organization. The Compliance Manager will work closely with the Compliance Director, staff, and external partners to implement policies, conduct audits, and address compliance concerns. This position requires a deep understanding of DSCSA, DEA, EPA, HIPAA, and state Board of Pharmacy regulations to ensure best practices in long-term care pharmacy operations.Primary Responsibilities:Assist the Compliance Director in developing, implementing, and maintaining the pharmacy's compliance program, policies, and proceduresConduct routine compliance audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actionsMonitor and track regulatory changes impacting long-term care pharmacy operations and assist in updating policies accordinglySupport the preparation and delivery of compliance training programs to pharmacy staff to ensure understanding of regulations and company policiesCoordinate with pharmacy staff and management to resolve compliance concerns, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvementMaintain records of compliance activities, including training logs, audit findings, investigations, and corrective actionsPrepare reports on compliance activities and findings for the Compliance Director and senior managementServe as a resource to staff regarding compliance-related questions and issuesSupport the Compliance Director in responding to regulatory inquiries, inspections, and audits while ensuring timely and accurate reporting to agenciesAssist in managing the pharmacy's medication destruction program in compliance with EPA and DSCSA regulationsQualifications & Experience:Education:High school diploma or equivalent (required)Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License (required)PTCB or ExCPT certification (required)Experience:Familiarity with pharmacy regulations, including DSCSA, DEA, EPA, HIPAA, and state-specific long-term care pharmacy requirementsFive years of pharmacy experienceLong-term care (LTC) pharmacy experience preferredExperience conducting audits, investigations, and implementing corrective actionsSkills & Competencies:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detailEffective leadership and project management skillsAbility to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretionProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance-related software toolsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with pharmacy staff and regulatory agenciesCompensation: depends on experience, skill set and availability.ABOUT UNITED Pharmacy Staffing:Mission Statement: Our focus is to provide the most qualified Pharmacy Personnel nationwide.
