Environment, Health and Safety Manager

The Environment, Health and Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with legal regulations and organizational standards. This role focuses on fostering a safe working environment, mitigating risks, and promoting sustainability across the facility operations.Duties Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and training programs.Conduct regular risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HSE regulations.Manage environmental programs related to waste management, air quality, and water usage.Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability goals.Lead pollution prevention and resource conservation vestigate and report accidents, incidents, and near-misses.Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Conduct HSE training sessions for employees and contractors.Promote a culture of safety awareness across the organization.Maintain accurate HSE records and reports.Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies as required.Identify opportunities for HSE improvements and implement best practices.Stay current on industry trends and emerging regulations.Other duties as assigned or requestedRequired Skills Abilities:Bachelor's degree requiredCertified Safety Professional (CSP) Certification preferred or must obtain within 90 days of hireProfessional HSE certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH, ISO 14001, or ISO 45001) are highly preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE managementStrong knowledge of HSE regulations and compliance requirements.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.Physical RequirementsApplicants for this role must be able to:Lift boxes and packages weighing up to 60 poundsLift, bend, squat, and stretch to move boxes, parcels, and shipmentsClimb small to medium flights of stairs multiple times a dayStanding for extended periods of timeVelociti provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
