Job: Mainframe DeveloperLocation: Westlake, TXVisa: USC, GC, GC EAD, H4 EADJob Type: W2 12+months contractMust have VSAM and DB2 expThe Expertise and Skills You Bring:Demonstrated support on a critical mainframe environment, using COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, MQ-Series, SQL, and VSAM files, as well as EasytrieveExperience in mainframe performance tuning and capacity planning, including ways to reduce IOs, CPU Time, MSUs, and MIPs, using Strobe, iStrobe, and Platinum DetectorExperience in navigating in an Oracle database environment for triage purposes File format and comparison using File-AID; version management using Endeavor; debugging and unit testing using Intertest and Abend-AID; and job scheduling using Control-M Ability to debug and reproduce issues in lower pre-production environmentsAbility to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment while meeting results While not required, knowledge of ETL, Informatica, Java, Python, or other distributed languages is a plusThe Expertise and Skills You Bring:A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience 6+ years of proven ability in mainframe development and supportExperience working in a scaled agile delivery model Investmentfinancial services experience is highly desiredStrong verbal and written communication skillsPrior experience working with development teams in onshore-offshore model
