Kindle Energy LLC ("Kindle") specializes in the management, optimization, and development of power generation in the United States and Canada and is a portfolio company of Blackstone Group Inc. Blackstone is a leading global alternative asset manager with $1 trillion of total assets under management. Currently, Kindle manages 8.7 GW of generation in Ohio, Indiana, Texas, and Louisiana, with a 700 MW CCGT project under construction in Louisiana and a simple cycle CT project under construction in Colorado.Kindle is currently recruiting for the role of Director Asset Optimization. This position will report to the Sr. Vice President Asset Optimization and will be based in our Princeton, NJ office with a travel requirement of >25% in the domestic United States.Responsibilities:Support business development opportunities through acquisitions, divestitures, major projects, and revenue enhancement initiativesDevelop and lead pro-forma LBO modeling to support acquisition, divestiture, and optimization strategiesDevelop and implement both short-term and long-term strategies to enhance the value of Kindle Energy managed assetsIdentify and execute optimization projects at Kindle Energy managed facilitiesDirect financial and economic analyses with regards to identified optimization projectsManage real estate issues at the Kindle Energy managed assetsLead property tax negotiations for any impacted facilitiesLead the formulation of strategy and the placement of insurance for Kindle Energy managed facilitiesNegotiate contracts and agreements on behalf of Kindle Energy or the Kindle Energy managed assets with various counterparties including partners, customers, and regulatory agenciesCoordinate across a diverse organization in pursuit of business initiatives specifically with the operations and commercial teamsQualifications:Bachelor's in accounting, engineering, finance, economics or related field, and MBA or equivalent degree preferredFive plus (5+) years of experience in the successful commercial management of energy assetsDemonstrated ability to manage complex business initiatives in the energy sectorKnowledge of governmental, legal, and environmental regulations that impact the electric marketsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated computer competencyKindle Energy LLC provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, or disability.
