The job of Project Manager oversees and manages individual jobsprojects from contract award through installation and closeout. The primary purpose of this position is to execute the field operational responsibilities of projects to ensure products are delivered and installed properly, within the timeline and budget, to the customer. The Project Manager is the Company's prime contact with the customer and is responsible for demonstrating excellent customer service throughout the entire process. The Project Manager is essential to the success of the organization by ensuring compliance with project demands and overall project success for each individual project. Project Managers will have multiple projects under their purview in different phases and shall track and maintain the status of each project, keeping regular communication with internal and external parties to ensure project completion.Essential Job FunctionsOversee projects to maintain schedule and ensure projects are completed in the allotted time frameResponsible for driving project progress internally and externallyProactively monitor, track and take necessary action to deliver projects at or below estimated costCoordinate fabrication and purchasing of all material and equipment needed for the jobDetermine project schedule from receipt of order through installationResponsible for all arrangements supporting installation and pre-work site inspectionsLead interface with clients including coordination of drawings, delivery and installationCoordinate with other departments to execute each phase of the projectDeliver excellent customer service throughout the projectMeet with contractors and clients for preconstruction review when neededCoordinate design changes with other employees and contractorsclientsAssist in design of engineered safety systems when neededReview project drawings prior to submission to customer for approvalUse computer assisted engineering and design software to prepare as-built drawingsParticipate in company safety program and coordinatecreate project specific job hazard assessmentsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential petenciesAbility to manage others effectivelyAbility to drive process and affect results internally and externallyAbility to make decisions and use discretionAbility to multi-taskProficient in Microsoft Word and ExcelAbility to navigate and use AutoCADAbility to understand costs and manage budgetsDetail-orientedCustomer service drivenLeadership qualitiesSelf-motivated with positive attitudeTeam playerSupervisory ResponsibilityInstallation team members (project-by-project basis)Work EnvironmentThis position works in an indoor office setting. This position may however be required to enter a shop area or perform site visits periodically in which safety, environmental and health concerns may demand constant attention.Physical DemandsThis is a largely sedentary role. This position may require employee to sit at a computer stationdesk for prolonged periods of time up to 8 hours a day. The employee is regularly required to read, count and write to accurately complete documentation required for position. Employee must be able to use hands and fingers to operate keyboard and phone and to file and operate office equipment. This position may require some walking, bending, reaching and standing.Position TypeExpected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a 1 hour lunch as scheduled with management.
