Our client, a leading global player in the automotive industry, is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to leverage the latest advancements in cloud computing and data technology. This role involves designing and developing scalable, high-performance data pipelines while maintaining strong data governance, automation, and quality standards.You'll be joining the team as a direct-hire at a pivotal moment, contributing to their AWS migration by supporting legacy systems while transitioning to cloud infrastructure. If you're passionate about using data to drive meaningful business insights, this opportunity is for you.Key Responsibilities:Design, build, and optimize data lakes and big data platforms.Develop scalable, high-quality data pipelines.Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a smooth migration to AWS while maintaining existing systems.Implement best practices in data security, governance, and automation.Requirements:6+ years of experience in enterprise-level data engineering, with expertise in data lake and big data platform development.4+ years of experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly Lambda, IAM, S3, API Gateway, Glue, and Redshift.Strong proficiency in Apache Airflow for workflow automation.Advanced SQL skills, with the ability to write complex queries from scratch.Expertise in Python for developing advanced data pipelines.Experience with SQL Server (SSIS, SSRS, TSQL, C#).Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.Strong understanding of data warehousing, business intelligence, data security, and data quality best practices.Experience with ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica, or Pentaho is a plus.This is a hybrid role requiring onsite work twice per week.About MMD Services Inc.:MMD Services Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
