Metglas, Inc., located in Conway, SC, is a world leading producer of Amorphous Metal Ribbon. Since our company began in the 1970's, Metglas, Inc. (then Allied Signal located in Morristown, NJ) pioneered the development and production of amorphous metal, a unique alloy that exhibits a structure in which the metal atoms occur in a random pattern. The key to Metglas Inc.'s proprietary manufacturing process is the rapid solidification of molten alloy at a rate of approximately one million degrees Celsius per second.We are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager for our busy 247 manufacturing plant!Responsibilities of Position:Takes a leadership role to maintain a World Class Safety program and Safety Performance.Sets goals, develops and implements programs to achieve plant and business creases on-stream time and reduce costs through improved equipment reliability.Trackstrends reliability metrics (including TBC and costs).Effective application of preventive, predictive, and proactive toolsprograms.Takes an active role in maintenance activities: Plan, conduct, analyze and summarize plant performance improvement trials.Coordinate with engineers, maintenance and operators in the implementation of new process operating conditions and procedures.Responds as required to specific equipment and performance problems.Maintains integrity of all drawings, specifications, programs, complianceinspection records, and other documentation.Adheres to all ISO system requirements.Key Success Factors:Ability to develop and implement reliability programs to achieve business goals.Achieve cost reduction through simplification of partcomponent crease in Plant capacity.AttributesSkills RequiredSought:Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills.Technical background.Strong motivator of people.Goal oriented team player.Understand impact of on-stream time on variable cost and capacity-productivity.Utilize cost benefit analysis to determine priorities.Apply Six Sigma tools to help reduce cost and increase plant capacity.Strong interpersonal communication skills w ability to continuously communicate with maintenance & plant operations.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Technical competence in reliability techniques and equipment.ExperienceEducation RequiredSought:BS or MS in mechanical engineering with experience in highly technical operationsfacility management.ProductProcess development.5-7 years' experience in IndustrialManufacturing environment.Six Sigma Skills a plus.Maintenance Engineering skills are required.Excellent computer skills needed. Microsoft Office, CMMS and Oracle preferred. Ladder logic programming experience related to process automation and control.PLCs experience required: Allen Bradley required.Working experience with Siemens control system desirable.*ITAR and EAR Disclosure Statement:This position requires compliance with ITAR andor EAR requirements.
