Our quality craftsmanship can be found in the steel structures supporting a diverse range of projects, and in the architectural details enhancing commercial, healthcare, and educational facilities across California.Position OverviewThe primary responsibility of this role is to oversee all aspects of project execution, including budgeting, scheduling, production, safety, quality control, field installations, and subcontractor management. This position ensures that all detailing, fabrication, and erection activities align with project schedules and comply with AISC standards.Essential duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:Serve as the primary representative for project management in company-level discussions and departmental meetingsDevelop long-term strategic plans for the project management department, including 1-year, 5-year, and 10-year objectivesAssign project awards to project management teams.Participate in project interviews and leveling meetings, providing follow-up communication to clients with key notes and action itemsEstablish staff development initiatives and training programs to enhance team performance and growth.Lead the performance management process for project managers and project engineers, including conducting annual evaluations and providing ongoing feedbackSupport team in managing projects as needed during periods of increased workload or resource constraintsPerform other duties as assignedPreferred Education, experience, qualifications and other requirements:Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years of industry-related experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and ExcelStrong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent organizational, detail-oriented, and interpersonal abilitiesComprehensive understanding of the construction industry and its processesBenefitsESOP Company401K contributionMedical Dental VisionLife Insurance Long Term DisabilityVacationBAPKO Metal, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
