SummaryThe Project Manager will be responsible for independently managing construction projects with minimal supervision. This role involves overseeing the full project lifecycle, including bidding, budgeting, contract management, field staff support, change order negotiations, scheduling, procurement, subcontract management, and project closeout. Experience with mission-critical or data center projects is preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Execution: Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of complex construction projects, typically ranging from $5M to $20M in budget.Scheduling: Analyze, interpret, and manage construction schedules aligned with contractual obligations. Develop and maintain internal project schedules.Contract Management: Review and interpret contract language, identifying risks and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.Cost Estimation: Assess the value of work, including contract documents, scope changes, and cost-to-complete projections.Client Relations: Communicate project plans, updates, and issues effectively with clients while fostering strong relationships for future business opportunities.Team Leadership: Collaborate with internal departments, including Virtual Design & Construction, Pre-Construction, Field Operations, and Prefabrication teams, to achieve project goals.Budget & Schedule Management: Define project scope, budget, and timeline while maintaining commitments throughout construction and closeout.Financial Oversight: Approve vendor and subcontractor invoices, process change orders, and manage cost controls using financial software platforms.Documentation: Prepare and manage project documents, including Statements of Values (SOVs), Requests for Information (RFIs), Submittals, and job progress reports.Qualifications & ExperiencePrior experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry.Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience in ElectricalMechanical construction.Skills & CompetenciesStrong time management and organizational skills.Business acumen, including strategic planning and goal setting.Ability to lead teams and drive productivity.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.Problem-solving capabilities and ability to work under pressure.Proficiency in MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel.Familiarity with state and local construction codes.BenefitsCompetitive salaryComprehensive health benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage from day one401(k) plan with employer matchShort- and long-term disability coveragePaid time off (PTO) and company holidaysThis is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned project manager looking to take ownership of complex projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
