*6+ month contract This is the pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position $68.20hour - 80.60hourOptional Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401KEcolab is seeking a Senior Firmware Software Engineer to architect, design, and full stack software applications within the IoT domain. The position is senior level position on the IoT software development team. The candidate will be part of a dynamic team helping to support a digital transformation of our business by creating IoT applications that deliver new insights to our diverse customer base. What You Will Do:Work with stakeholders to document system requirements for backend stack components or IoT applicationsParticipate in new product development by being part of a cross-functional team involving hardware, software, SME professionals, and external partnersDeveloping and testing of IoT systems development involving IoT edge devices and gatewaysStay on the cutting edge of technology evolution in this space by continually evaluating new tools, techniques, and processesMinimum Qualification:Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar technical degree5 or more years' experience with relevant software development in a fast-moving environment3 or more years working in C or C++ in embedded firmware development.Experience with embedded RTOS or bare-metal development.experience with ESP32 WIFI module and azure IoT for embedded systemsExperience in serial communication protocols, such as UART, SPI, I2CExperience in ARM based microcontrollers, such as Microchip, NXP, Silicon Labs, or ST MicroImmigration Sponsorship not available for this role.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in supporting Embedded Firmware Platform, Board Support Package development.Experience in one or more of the following areas: bootstrap loader, embedded file systems, system controls, Linux, CAN Bus development, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCPExperience with Agile development methodologiesInitiative and ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team while handling multiple tasks or projects.Active communication skills, both verbal and written and good organizational skills
