Our Global Business Group at Nova is looking for a Field Service Engineer who is a self-starter, has a positive attitude, is a team player, and can support our systems at the customer site in a professional manner. You'll gain in-depth knowledge of cutting-edge metrology tools, participate in industry trainings, and receive ongoing mentorship from experienced engineersRole ResponsibilitiesSupport Nova and End Users as defined under Nova's warranty and service support agreements.Maintain accurate reporting of all customer support activities as outlined by the Service Manager.Assist with new equipment installations, add-ons, and upgrades, ensuring proper setup and functionality.Provide feedback to the division in Germany based on customer experiences and suggestions for improvement.Produce regular reports for customers and Nova management to ensure transparency and communication.Provide customer training and retraining as needed, ensuring users have the necessary knowledge to operate equipment effectively.Manage Nova's parts inventory at assigned locations, ensuring availability of critical components when required.Assist with setting and maintaining spare parts inventory levels, adhering to company policies.Repair parts and components according to general service policies and procedures.Ensure spare systems are properly stored and available when needed for customer support.Provide sales support, assisting the sales team with necessary technical information and documentation.Collaborate with sales and customers for on-site evaluations and assessments of Nova products.Familiarize with customer operating methods, procedures, and policies to provide tailored support.Adhere to customer site policies regarding safety, performance, and behavior.Maintain confidentiality of customer information to uphold trust and privacy.Provide customer support during defined working hours as outlined in the service contract and be prepared to extend support beyond regular hours if needed.What will make you succeed in the role?Work effectively in a multifunctional team, acting as a liaison between customers, Tech Support, and Applications teams.Assist in escalation management, ensuring quick resolution of critical issues.Strong analytical, data analysis and diagnostics abilityExcellent written and oral communicationsRequirementsMinimum of 3 years of relevant experience in semiconductor equipment support or related field.BS in ElectricalMechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.:Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with independent troubleshooting skills.Experience with first-level software troubleshooting and support.Knowledge of semiconductor technical support requirements, field service processes, and procedures.Familiarity with multi-discipline semiconductor metrology equipment and cleanroom environments preferred.Working knowledge of integration with different equipment platforms and communication protocols such as SECSHSMS.Understanding of semiconductor practices, safety standards, ergonomics, and yield requirements.Strong project and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Excellent problem-solving, data analysis, and diagnostic abilities.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both customers and internal teams.Customer relations skills, ensuring effective and professional interactions.This position involves manual and physical labor, often in a cleanroom environment.Must be able to bend, crawl, and work around systems within a semiconductor fab.Willingness to travel to various regions for service-related events, customer training, and support activities (estimated travel time: 20-35%).Get to know us better:Nova (NASDAQ: NVMI) is a global company and a leading provider of innovative metrology solutions for process control in semiconductor manufacturing.
