Our unique digital-twin and mm-accurate spraying technology unlock phenomenal increases in productivity and efficiency - helping farmers grow more profitability with fewer inputs, realizing savings from day one.As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our engineering team on exciting projects and gain hands-on experience in developing testing infrastructure for our PCB manufacturing, and troubleshooting electrical systems on our robot. You will be involved in both design and validation processes and contribute to the overall success of our product development initiatives. This is a paid internship position.What You Will Do: PCB Design and Development: Assist in the design and layout of printed circuit boards (PCBs) using Altium Designer.Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure proper component placement, routing, and signal integrity in PCB designs.Help with creating and reviewing PCB design documentation, including schematics and Bill of Materials (BOM).Circuit Theory and Analysis: Utilize circuit theory fundamentals to help aid proper part procurement.Perform simulations (e.g., SPICE or similar tools) to validate circuit designs and optimize performance.Electronics Testing and Validation: Assist in testing, debugging, and validating prototypes of electrical systems and circuits.Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and power supplies to perform hands-on measurements and troubleshooting.Document test results and provide recommendations for improvements based on test data.Collaboration and Documentation: Work with cross-functional teams, including hardware, firmware, and product design teams, to ensure seamless integration of electrical components into final products.Assist in preparing technical reports and documentation to communicate test results, circuit behavior, and design updates.Participate in design reviews and provide feedback based on test results and simulations.Qualifications: Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (e.g., Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics).Solid understanding of circuit theory (both analog and digital).Familiarity with PCB design software (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad).Experience with electronic testing tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters).Understanding of basic electronics components (e.g., resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors).Understanding basic power electronics structures (Buck and Boost DC converters).Ability to troubleshoot and debug circuits.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.Preferred Qualifications: Experience with embedded systems or microcontrollers is a plus (STM32, Arduino, etc.)Comfortability with programming languages like CC++ and Python.Experience with common communication protocols (CANbus, UART, I2C, SPI).Familiarity with simulation software (e.g., SPICE, LTSpice, or similar).Previous internship or project experience in electronics design and testing.Verdant Robotics provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
