We're honest and speak with transparency; We admit when we're not ok and ask for help when we need it.       The Position - Commercial Service Electrician          We are seeking a skillful, reliable and experienced commercial service electrician. Must have experience in commercial electrical service work with solid electrical skills and knowledge. This position entails troubleshooting to clear problems, installation of interior and exterior lighting, dedicated circuits and receptacles, as well as other electrical functions. Our ideal candidate is a responsible, customer service-oriented person with a good driving record. Commercial Service Electricians typically perform scheduled service calls independently or as a pair with an emphasis on high-quality work and safety. Preferred candidates are familiar with all commercial and industrial electrical phases. The Commercial Service Electrician plans methods and procedures for the safe installation of the electrical system including coordination with owners and facility managers. Ensuring work orders are completed in a productive manner, our Commercial Service Electricians maintain a harmonious and productive attitude towards other employees and clients. A desire to learn and a positive attitude are required. This position will report directly to the Commercial Service Manager.The day-to-day duties of the Commercial Service Electrician include:Performing routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systemsTroubleshooting outagesAdhering to all quality and safety codesFamiliarity with codes and installation specs for the South Florida area.Proficient use of electrical hand toolsThorough knowledge of electrical equipment including the use of electrical testing equipment for diagnostic purposesInstallation and repair electrical systems and fixturesInstallation of various types of panel and servicesStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skillsOther duties as assignedKey Characteristics of the Commercial Service ElectricianLicensed Electrician 2+ years of experience, preferably in the commercial and industrial arenas Experienced in running a service truck, commercial and industrial electricalProfessional appearance, ability to use a Smart PhoneTablet, willingness to work safely, great attitude, and ambition to growThorough knowledge of electrical equipment, including electrical testing equipment for diagnostic purposesInspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, and the need for required adjustments, or repairs to ensure compliance with local and national codesAssembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatuses, and fixtures, ability to run conduit with precision using hand tools and power toolsExcellent customer service skillsProficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and construction safety requirementsDemonstrate and uphold all of Eau Gallie Electric's core values: Relationships, professionalism, results, continuous improvement, and communityPreferred LicensesCertifications: Journeyman's License, OSHA Training, Driver's LicenseBenefits At Eau Gallie Electric, we believe that great employees who deliver exceptional results in our community should be rewarded appropriately.
