Windridge Tennis & Sports Camps is seeking a hard-working, organized, detail oriented, self-motivated Executive Chef to join our team. Our camp operates from June through August and is located in the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont. We have approximately 150 campers (ages 7-15) and 95 staff members living at camp throughout the summer. We have a staff of nine to ten working in the kitchen, and the chef and team would be responsible for providing three meals a day and keeping the kitchen area clean.ResponsibilitiesThe Executive Chef will manage the kitchen, develop menus and create kid-friendly and healthy meals. The ideal candidate for this position is creative, enthusiastic and passionate about food. Those with previous experience are encouraged to apply. QualificationsPrevious camp chefkitchen experience: 2 yearsExperience in a camp or institutional food-service settingAbility to help with the supervision of food service staff and make scheduling assignmentsAbility to help create healthy menusAbility to help deal with food vendors and order quality foodAbility to help train staff in proper food service policies and proceduresAbility to help prepare a variety of food for different dietsAbility to relate to people of a variety of agesAbility to accept guidance and supervisionGood character, integrity, and adaptabilityEnthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and self-controlDesire and ability to work in a camp settingPay: $1,500.00 - $1,700.00 per weekCompensation is based on experience... a travel stipend, room and board included. This contract is based on a 6 day working week with 1 day off.
