In this role, you will be responsible for a specific category of consumer goods; sourcing through existing and new clients and managing the supply to our retailers, and developing new business opportunities.The role requires the ability to multitask throughout the day, communicate clearly with team members, and ensure the overall success of the buying department.Responsibilities:Manage a portfolio of both suppliers and customers, building long-term relationships with themNegotiate pricing and contracts with clientsProcess deal flow from start to finish, including logisticsAchieve sales targets and goalsDevelop new business opportunities through prospectingCollaborate with our buying team to ensure we have the right products to meet our clients' needsAttend trade shows to showcase our products and meet with both current and prospective clientsKeep accurate records of sales activitiesProvide excellent customer service and resolve any client issues in a timely mannerQualifications:2+ years of sales experience, preferably in the off-price industry or with brick and mortar retailersA proven track record of success in a commission based selling environmentA great sense of style and a keen eye for consumer trendsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalProficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Google DocsAbility to work independently and manage your own time effectivelyWillingness to travel occasionally for trade shows (up to 10% of the time)Positive attitude and strong work ethicIf you are a laser focused, motivated sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!
