Competitive Wages and Benefits: Family-friendly benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Company paid disability and life insurance Paid vacation 401 (k) with Company match Employee meat purchase program Medical Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to: Focused on assessing and managing employee health within a workplace setting, including conducting pre-employment physicals, performing periodic medical surveillance exams, treating work-related injuries, and educating employees on workplace safety practices, all under the supervision of an Occupational Medicine Physician. Key Responsibilities: Performing comprehensive medical evaluations, identifying potential occupational health hazards, managing worker's compensation cases, maintaining accurate medical records, and collaborating with safety professionals to promote workplace wellness. This role requires a strong understanding of occupational health regulations and the ability to interpret medical data in the context of work environments. Patient Assessment: Conduct pre-employment physical examinations to assess fitness for work. Perform periodic medical surveillance exams for employees exposed to specific occupational hazards. Take detailed medical histories, including work-related exposures and symptoms. Conduct physical examinations to identify potential health concerns related to job duties. Diagnosis and Treatment: Evaluate and diagnose work-related injuries and illnesses. Provide initial treatment for occupational injuries, including wound care and medication management. Refer complex cases to the supervising Occupational Medicine Physician. Workplace Health Promotion: Educate employees on workplace health and safety practices. Conduct health screenings and immunizations as needed. Develop and implement workplace health promotion programs. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed medical records of employee health assessments and treatments. Prepare reports on employee health trends and potential hazards for management. Comply with all applicable occupational health regulations and reporting requirements. Collaboration: Work closely with the supervising Occupational Medicine Physician to develop treatment plans. Collaborate with safety professionals to identify and address workplace hazards. Communicate with employers, employees, and insurance companies regarding occupational health concerns. Other duties as assigned This is an on-site position. This is a safety sensitive position. Qualified candidates for the Medical Manager position should possess the following: Master of Nursing Program or a Physician Assistant Program Certified APRN or Licensed Physician Assistant Certification in Occupational Medicine (preferred) Strong understanding of occupational health principles and regulations Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, employers, and other health-care professionals.
