This includes Avionics systems equipment level, Systems Level and Aircraft Level troubleshooting, testing and certification. Responsibilities:Act as Primary FAA interface with the responsibility to ensure design compliance, maintaining close interaction with airworthiness authorities, including authorities' representatives (FAA) and delegates (DER), and involving day-by-day technical exchanges, recurring meetings and reviews.Support the technical certification activities for the AW609 Avionics System, planning and execution through demonstration of design compliance with applicable rules, including definition of System Certification Plan, Certification Test Plans, Certification Test Reports and Issue Papers.Support activities for equipment request of conformity and qualification test setup. Support discussions and review for equipment certification process, including DO-178 SW and DO 254 HW SOI Process Assurance with authorities. Support AW609 avionics testing and analysis, necessary to show compliance with certification rules consistent with program priorities and departmental best practices.Coordinate the substantiation of type design documentation required to meet the approved certification basis, providing expertise for resolution of non-compliance, support releasing of test plansreports in accordance to program milestones.Support onsite prototypes technical activities and manufacturing line acting as Engineering POC leading the AWPC avionics specialists in US. Work closely with the technical disciplines Chief Projects of the main LH Engineering Cross-Geo Organization in Italy.Education:BS degree in Electrical, Electronics or Aerospace Engineering; Experience:Minimum of 7 years of experience participating in transport-category certification programs (Part 27, Part 25 andor Part29) including 5 years of technical experience involved in design, test, and analysis of avionics and electrical components and systems for developmental aircraft including cockpit integration expertise.Project Management experience required.
