Position Function***Position must reside somewhere between Vancouver, WA and Eugene, OR.***The Area Sales Manager is a key member of Wy'East Medical's sales team as they work to aggressively execute the company's revenue growth strategies while enriching the Company's position as a leading provider of safe patient handling and mobility (SPHM) products and accessories. The Area Sales Manager will manage an entire sales cycle and is responsible for new business development and promoting products and solutions within an assigned territory.Territory: WA, OR, ID, MT, northern NV (excluding Las Vegas area), northern CA (Bay Area north), HI, AK (travel to HI & AK extremely rare)Responsibilities:The primary responsibility of this position is to promote and sell Wy'East products and services to hospitals, health systems, clinical users, (Safe Patient Handling Professionals, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Employee Health, and Nursing) primarily throughout all Acute Care settings in a defined geographical area. Additional targeted healthcare settings will follow current company growth strategy.Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with Key Decision Makers including but not limited to Safe Patient Handling Professionals, Contracting & Procurement Professionals, Logistic Officers, Nursing, Risk Management, and various members of the C-SuitePursue leads, assess needs, and provide product services to maximize the benefits derived from Wy'East products andor services.Provide support and service to clinical personnel as it relates to the use of products in a clinical setting.Meetexceed sales revenue and activity quotas within assigned territory by: -Driving sales efficiencies and growth. -Maximizing account penetration by selling all products in portfolio. -Promoting and establishing education of the company's products andor services. -New business development: prospect, generate leads, cold calling. -Ensure early engagement in the customer buying process to diagnose customers' needs and tailor solutions to match them, influencing bid specs as required. -Actively manage sales pipeline to ensure constant flow of new business creating a 12-month rolling territory forecast. -Implement and track key performance metrics including quote generation municate customer feedback on new products andor modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing.Maintain company Customer Relationship Management tool (CRM) for assigned territory by documenting interactions with existing and prospective customers during the sales process, including documenting following ups with new and existing customers as necessary to grow and retain accounts.Maintain company Outlook Calendar with customer appointments, travel plans, and other related schedule information and openly share with coworkers and management.Obtain Certified Safe Patient Handling Associate certification within 16 months of hire date.Maintain storage unit in assigned region for storing company products in support of the sales process.Attend company exhibits at industry trade shows and conventions to generate new leads, develop customer relationships, and promote the company products and brand.Attend training on new products and technologies. Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical device sales.Sector-specific sales experience is preferred or Clinical experience with a Sales background.Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field is required.Specialized knowledge including related licenses and certificates a plus.Proven track record of meeting sales related metrics and quotas.Proficient in customer relationship management (CRM) solutions.Proficient in all Microsoft applications.Strong communication & presentation skills.Excellent analytical, negotiation & organizational skills.Maintain current vaccinations, willingness to obtain annual flu vaccine, TB test, COVID vaccine and other credentialing qualifications as required by customers and the company.Willingness and ability to drive company vans or to rent mid-size box trucks (i.e., Penske) with liftgates to transport Company products to customer locations in support of the sales process.Willingness and ability to obtain CSPHA certification (Certified Safe Patient Handling Associate) within 12 months of hire.Valid and unrestricted driver's license, clear criminal background, ability to achieve fingerprint clearance, and ability to pass drug test.Ability to lift, pushpull up to 50 lbs., along with bending, kneeling, and reaching as essential to the job.Ability to travel with overnight stays as necessary in order to grow the business (50% to 75%).
