Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Positions available in: Columbus, OHIndianapolis, INMorgantown, WVCharleston, WVCleveland, OHCincinnati, OHAkron, OHSr. Geotechnical Engineer will play a key role, and serve as Team Lead, of the Geotech Team in performing geotechnical explorations and investigations for our clientsSr. Geotechnical Engineer Responsibilities:Performing geotechnical explorations, site characterizations, slope stability assessments, and risk evaluation on developments.Training and supervision of lab technicians, maintenance of quality reviews and certifications, management of equipment inventory and calibration, client marketing and proposal preparation. Training and development of lesser-experienced Engineers (EIEIT and new PEs).Tracking project progress in both timeline and budgetprofit-loss capacities. Assisting Marketing with the technical aspects in generating proposals. Overseeing quality of work submitted (QAQC). Ability to work independently on broad projects with oversightsupervision by the Dept. Manager. Providing direction on a project to project basis - i.e. preparing lab testing assignments, reviewing documents, and testing results for content and accuracy.Preparing geotechnical engineering reports. Interacting with clients on technical aspects of the projects.Reviewing soils laboratory test results.Assisting in planning and the execution of subsurface investigation programs - including the understanding of project design plans, locating test borings at project sites, coordinating underground utility clearance.Design development and analysis of earth embankments, earth retaining structures and anchoring systems. Performing analysis and design of shallow and deep foundations and slope stability evaluations.Monitoring and enforcing quality control standards and specifications.Sr. Geotechnical Engineer Requirements:Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related discipline; Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology is highly preferredActive P.E. licensure or willingness to obtain is required 7+ years of experience in consulting engineering on various civil projects requiredStrong communication skills.Ability to read design drawings.Ability to meet schedules. Experience with common geotechnical software or be able to utilize software with minimal training.Self-motivated, reliable, quality minded, and detail oriented.
