Transport Engineer III

We are looking to hire a Transport Engineer III in Annapolis Junction, MD (2x a week onsite, no exceptions).Key Requirements:Location: Annapolis Junction, MD (2x a week onsite, no exceptions).Experience:Strong background in transport engineering at a macro level.IP addressing, building and designing paths, and programming experience.Level III candidates (able to work with minimal training).Problem-solving, PM, and technical skills are a must.Prior Verizon experience is preferred (familiarity with their systems and minimal ramp-up time).Knowledge in fiber network design, planning for 3-6 months out.Must-Have Skills:Proficiency with office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Sheets).Familiarity with database management, project trackers, and logic.Troubleshooting, project management, and strong interpersonal skills.Ability to learn new technologies quickly.Experience in telecommunications or cellular industry.Decision-making, organization, and planning skills.Desired Skills:Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.Knowledge of XNGGranite circuit databases, ASR ordering systems, TLS, EMUX, Dark Fiber, and EO systems.Understanding of wireless services (4G5G), wavelength division multiplexing, IPV4IPV6, and microwave technology.Project management experience, especially with centralized RAN and urban interconnections.Job Duties:Circuit ordering (Dark Fiber, EOS, EBH, TLS).Design and implementation of transport technologies for 5G rollout.Track orders, attend meetings, manage vendors, and ensure timely delivery of projects.Collaboration with engineers across disciplines to deliver optimal solutions.EducationCertifications:College degree preferred.What you didn't know about us:Competitive salaryHealth, Dental and Vision BenefitsShortLong Term Disability and CriticalCareIllness ProtectionLife Insurance and Retirement PlansEmployee Assistance ProgramWith this position, you will get the opportunity to work with our game changing clients and further advance your already valuable experience in the telecom industry!We are Connectors.
