Nursing Clinical Coordinator- Ambulatory Hematology at Boston Children's Hospital summary: The Nursing Clinical Coordinator for the Outpatient Hematology Program oversees the care of patients with various non-malignant hematologic conditions. This role includes managing clinic operations, staff scheduling, and implementing quality improvement initiatives. It requires strong leadership, clinical expertise, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Clinical Coordinator: Outpatient Hematology Program The Hematology RN Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for: Working with the Hematology team to provide care for patients of all ages from newborn through young adulthood with a wide variety of acute and chronic non-malignant hematologic conditions, including sickle cell disease, anemia, hemophilia and other coagulation disorders, ITP and platelet disorders, and neutropenia and white cell disorders. Planning, organizing and overseeing the daily clinic flow and operations in Hematology Clinic. Preparing staff schedules and requests, allocating resources and facilitating coordination of care/services to meet patient care and operations requirements. Developing, recommending and implementing internal standards, policies and procedures to improve quality and cost effectiveness of patient care. Selecting, supervising and evaluating nursing and clinical support personnel and developing and providing staff education/development programs. Leading and participating in hospital, departmental and multidisciplinary programs, committees and special projects. Act as day to day onsite contact for a team of RNs and Clinical Assistants To qualify you must have: BSN required; MSN preferred. MA RN license required. 4-5 years of RN experience required. Leadership experience strongly preferred. Experience in Hematology/Oncology preferred.
