Job Overview: Lubricate machinery, change parts, or perform other routine machinery maintenance. Actively involved in preventive maintenance program to achieve machine goals. Responsibilities: • Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain CNC machinery, electrical systems, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment. Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures. • Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work. Inventory and requisition machine parts, equipment, and other supplies so that stock can be maintained and replenished. • Set up and operate machines, and adjust controls to regulate operations. Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems. • Inspect or test damaged machine parts, and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs. Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment. • Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications. Replace or repair metal, wood, leather, glass, or other lining in machines, or in equipment compartments or containers. • Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists. Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment. • Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance. Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information. • Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists, or dollies. Collect and discard worn machine parts and other refuse in order to maintain machinery and work areas. Demonstrates excellence in completion of all other duties as assigned. Requirements: • High School Diploma or GED required AND/OR direct experience of ten (10) or more years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing facility can be substituted for education. • Three (3) or more years' of experience with CNC machine maintenance. Core Competencies: • Demonstrated experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance including motors, controls, power supplies, AC/DC theory, power distribution, PLC's, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, power transmission and pumps • Demonstrated ability to follow all established safe work procedures including, but not limited to personal protection equipment, lockout/tag-out requirements and electrical safety • Read and interpret blueprints, technical parts manuals such as electrical and mechanical diagrams, and ability to effectively use and read gages, meters, calipers and other measuring tools • Effective and safe use of all required tools including, but not limited to, drills, saws, torches, welders, cranes & hoists, forklifts and other maintenance equipment Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements: • This position will be based 100% onsite at our Springfield, Missouri facility • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms • Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds • Occasionally required to work near moving mechanical parts • Occasionally required to work in outside weather conditions and exposure to moderate cold and heat • Frequent exposure to various chemicals, lubricants, and grease • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high Pay Range: Starting Pay will range between $22.52 - $27.76 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, hourly position. The pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
