This high-impact role will collaborate closely with cross functional leaders to deliver analytical insights and financial models to support strategic business decisions and optimize operations. The Director of FP&A brings strong quantitative skills, strategic thinking, sound business judgment, and a successful track record of leadership success. The Director will be skilled at communicating a compelling and inspirational vision of the future of FP&A, inspiring and motivating team members and employees and sharing the vision consistently and clearly to stakeholders.Essential Functions:Financial Analysis and ReportingOversee the development of annual budgets and monthly forecasts, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.Lead strategic financial planning and long-range financial forecasting.Provide ongoing updates and analysis of actual performance vs. budgetforecast, identifying trends and variances and making recommendations for corrective actions.Develop and present monthly, quarterly reports for executive leadership and board presentations, providing insights into financial performance, risks, and opportunities.Maintain, and enhance metrics and dashboards to monitor operational performance, track progress, and provide actionable insights.Partner with department heads and business leaders to understand business drivers, develop forecasts, and offer financial guidance on strategic initiatives.Assist in preparing presentations for Board of Directors, senior management, and other stakeholders.Financial OperationsOversee externally managed financial operations ensuring compliance and expense managementOversee contract management serve as financial alliance manager for external CROs and CDMOsLead ad-hoc financial analyses and provide recommendations for cost optimization, revenue growth, and operational efficiency.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field required; Advanced degree preferred.Experience: 8+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial FP&A role in the biotech or pharma industry.Demonstrate ability to analyze complex data, and summarize the relevant conclusions plus recommendations in a clear and concise mannerShow confidence and tact that can successfully influence executive and senior leadership teamsMust have strong leadership and team-building skills; and ability to collaborate cross-functionally in an effective mannerExperience with finance information systems.Expert MS Excel MS PowerPoint - candidate should be comfortable with financial modeling and working with large amounts of dataWorking knowledge of GAAPWhy Join Us?Adaxion Therapeutics offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment where innovation and scientific excellence are at the core of everything we do.
