We are a rapidly growing organization in the Moonachie, NJ area. We are seeking to hire a Traffic Engineer to join our team of professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following responsibilities: SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Traffic Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and implementing traffic control systems to improve transportation flow and ensure public safety. This role involves conducting traffic studies, preparing reports, and collaborating with city planners, engineers, and government officials.Job Responsibilities:Design and implement traffic control devices such as signals, signs, and pavement markings.Analyze traffic flow patterns and conduct traffic impact studies.Develop and review transportation plans for roadways, intersections, and pedestrian areas.Ensure all traffic systems comply with local, state, and federal regulations.Use traffic simulation software to model and forecast traffic conditions.Collaborate with urban planners, civil engineers, and public agencies on transportation projects.Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for stakeholders.Address traffic-related complaints and recommend solutions to improve traffic flow and safety.Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain one within a specified time frame.Proficiency in traffic analysis software such as Synchro, VISSIM, or HCS.Strong understanding of traffic engineering principles and transportation planning.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Master's degree in Transportation Engineering or related field.Experience with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).Familiarity with CAD software for roadway design.
