Shop Manager

Trades Holding Company is seeking a Plumbing Shop Manager Heavy Equipment Repair in Columbus, Ohio!Key Responsibilities:Shop Management:Oversee day-to-day shop operations, ensuring all equipment and vehicles are maintained and repaired efficiently.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.Manage inventory, tools, and parts to support repairs and maintenance.Equipment and Vehicle Repairs: Perform and oversee mechanical repairs on vehicles and equipment.Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues effectively.Act as point of contact for third party repairs.Leadership and Team Management:Lead and mentor shop staff, promoting a team-oriented culture.Provide clear direction, training, and support to ensure high performance.Act as the primary point of contact for shop-related concerns.Operational Ownership:Take full ownership of the shop's operations, ensuring all equipment and vehicles are in excellent working condition.Coordinate with field teams to ensure equipment availability aligns with project needs.Enforce shop policies and proceduresQualifications:Proven experience in a leadership role within a shop or mechanical environment.Strong mechanical background with expertise in vehicle and equipment repairs, particularly jetters and plumbing equipment.Heavy equipment repairWorking knowledge of hydraulicsFamiliarity with plumbing tools, equipment, and operations is a must.Familiarity with Fleetio or similar fleet management software is a plus.Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently.Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.Benefits:Paid time off and paid holidaysBenefits - Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and 401(k) with match up to 4%Voluntary Accident PlansCompany provided uniformsFounded in 1994, Trades Holding Company is a leading franchisee operator of four renowned residential home servicing brands: Mr. Rooter (plumbing), Mr. Electric (electrical), Rainbow Restoration (restoration services) and AireServ (HVAC).
