The ideal candidate should have 2-5 years of commercial, residential or multi-family construction experience. The project administrator works closely with the project and accounting teams. This role is accountable for complex project support, monitoring the progress of projects, and ensuring all project accounting functions are met.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following. These duties describe the minimum activities of this position. These duties are subject to change to accommodate the needs of the company:PROJECT MAINTENANCEMaintain knowledge of current California construction lien lawsGeneral understanding of prime contracts; working closely with Contract Administrator for execution of prime contracts. Understanding prime contract as it pertains to payment terms, insurance requirementsReview and enter any transfer of expenses into and out of project-related accountsReview labor costs for work related to a projectReview and overhead charges to be applied to a projectInvestigate project variances and submit variance reports to the project managerInvestigate all project expenses not billed to customersCreate and submit any government reports and sales tax calculations related to projectCompile information for internal and external auditors, as requiredWork with the project team to complete the Project Status Report (PSR) & Work in Progress Report (WIP).PROJECT ACCOUNTINGReview and post monthly owner billingsWork with Project Manager for billing and collectionWork in Progress & Project Status Report (Profitability Analysis) monthly reportingProcess Credit ApplicationsProcess material invoicesFirst point of contact for subcontractorsCompliance tracking, including lien waiversSub Invoice ProcessingReview and monitor LCP Tracker for certified payroll including DAS 140,142 and fringe benefit statementClose out of completed projects including consolidating sub files, AP files, contract files, billing files, daily reports, certified payrolls, reportsQUALIFICATIONSThe successful candidate will possess:M1B's Core Values: Charitable, Integrity, Confidence and being RelatableExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Recognized as a self-starter and ability to meet deadlinesAbility to work well with others and achieve team goalsHighly dependable with excellent organizational and time management skillsEDUCATION andor EXPERIENCE: A Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting andor 3 consecutive years of progressive construction administration or accounting experience.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.USE OF TECHNOLOGY: Willingness and ability to use computers, tablets, smartphones and other technological tools to manage and complete work. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
