Our client, is a global industry leader dedicated to maintaining world-class facilities and infrastructure is seeking a Senior Facilities & Mechanical Engineer to provide specialized support in facilities management, building automation, mechanical and electrical engineering, and utilities.This role will focus on ensuring optimal operations through maintenance, new installations, and major renovations while delivering engineering expertise in HVAC, AutomationBMS, Electrical, and Maintenance to support site operations.ResponsibilitiesOversee the design, operation, and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, automationBMS, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.Ensure reliability, efficiency, and compliance of critical facility infrastructure and utilities.Lead initiatives to optimize HVAC systems for energy efficiency, sustainability, and performance.Manage and enhance Building Management Systems (BMS) and other automation controls to improve system reliability.Provide technical troubleshooting and support for HVAC and mechanical systems.Oversee electrical distribution systems, including power supply, backup generators, and safety systems.Ensure regulatory compliance and safety in electrical installations and upgrades.Support the design and implementation of energy-efficient solutions for facility operations.Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve facility uptime and performance.Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for equipment failures, working closely with maintenance teams.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize facility and equipment performance.Manage capital improvement projects, including facility expansions, renovations, and major equipment installations.Work closely with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure project timelines, budgets, and compliance.Provide technical guidance in the selection, procurement, and implementation of new facility systems.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA, NFPA, ASHRAE, and other industry standards.Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to best practices in facilities management.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant certifications (e.g., CFM, PMP, LEED) preferred.Minimum of 5+ years of experience in facilities engineering, mechanical systems, and building operations.Strong background in HVAC, electrical distribution, building automation (BMS), and utilities management.Experience leading projects related to facility upgrades, maintenance, and renovations.Proficiency in HVAC design, troubleshooting, and system optimization.Strong knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), automation controls, and energy management strategies.Familiarity with electrical systems, including power distribution, generators, and UPS systems.Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for work order management.This is a W21099 contractor position for an initial period for 6 months, that may be extended up to 18 months andor revert to an FTE position (although this is not guaranteed).If you are a highly skilled Engineer looking to make a significant impact in a fast-paced and technical environment, apply today!
