See our website for more information about us.We are looking for a Legal AssistantParalegal with at least 5 years with Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation. Medical Malpractice experience would also be extremely helpful. Assisting Partners, Managing Attorneys, and Associate Attorneys in the litigation process from inception to completion of trial andor settlement. Thoroughly familiar with both New York State and Federal Court procedures. Experience with administration papers and infant compromise orders would be extremely helpful.Duties include:Set up & organize filesDraft & prepare of Summons & ComplaintsDraft & prepare Bills of ParticularsDraft & prepare all Discovery Demands & ResponsesRequest & follow through obtaining all Hospital & Doctors recordsDraft & prepare MotionsInteract with clientsWork closely & assist attorneys on day-to-day case management of filesStenography A+ or fast long-hand dictationFamiliar with Motion Practice & Calendar PracticeCorrespondenceWe refer to the position as Legal Assistant as it combines the knowledge and experience associated with paralegal work along with experienced secretarial skills. We would like someone with both abilities, experienced and capable of independently working on PIMM cases, helping us in furthering our cases to completion.Hours: 9:30 am to 5:30 pm or 10:00 am to 6:00 pmSalary: Depending on experience, open to market ratesSystems: Word, Sharepoint, Clio, Sage
