Job Title: Financial AnalystLocation: Sacramento CAJob Description:We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Project Analyst to manage the financial aspects of our projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, forecasting, risk management, and contract negotiations. This role offers high visibility within the organization and a promotional track for those who can exceed expectations.Key Responsibilities:Financial Record Keeping: Ensure accurate and timely record keeping of project financial statements, ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.Forecasting: Prepare accurate Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and Free Cash Flow forecasts on both a yearly and monthly basis. Analyze financial assumptions and ensure the project team understands and meets forecast goals.Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with the project team, offering guidance and educating team members on financial and compliance topics to help drive project success.Cost Management: Support the Project Manager in identifying, reporting, and mitigating non-conformance costs. Implement lessons learned to improve future projects.Risk and Opportunity Management: Lead the identification, reporting, and management of risks and opportunities for the project, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines.Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including management teams, HR, quality management, customers, suppliers, and partners. Partner with procurement for vendor negotiations and support claim management processes.Change Order Negotiations: Actively participate in customer change order negotiations, ensuring price calculations and proposals are beneficial for the organization.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline. An advanced degree is a plus.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, in alignment with financial regulations.Experience in financial planning, controlling, and project management.Proficient in reading and interpreting contracts.Knowledge of SAP and POC accounting requirements.Experience in contract negotiations, including change orders and vendor claims.Strong understanding of risk and opportunity management, currency management, and accurate bookkeeping.Ability to generate positive change with a driven and entrepreneurial mindset.Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and management at all levels.Adaptable to change and capable of driving continuous improvement initiatives.
