Position Title: Corporate Development AssociateLocation: Houston, TXStatus: Full- Time ExemptDepartment: FinanceReports to: CEOPosition Description:Our client is seeking an outstanding, intellectually curious and highly-analytical individual to fill the role of Corporate Development Associate. Reporting directly to the company's CEO, the Corporate Development Associate will be joining an experienced yet entrepreneurial management team of digital infrastructure professionals with a proven, successful track record of building and growing businesses. The role is contemplated as a two- to three-year "pre-MBA" program, ideal for someone rolling off an analyst-level position in investment banking or management consulting.The ideal candidate should be energetic, organized and team-oriented, with a successful track record of thriving in dynamic, fast-paced and demanding environments. The Corporate Development Associate will have broad exposure to all parts of the company, supporting the CEO in executing the business plan and direction across matters ranging from operational to strategic. Scope will range from data analytics, reporting and presentation preparation to capital markets and evaluating new market, product line and M&A opportunities.Duties and Responsibilities:· Support CEO and Executive Leadership Team in reporting, capital markets, transaction, deal sourcing and execution· Manage and update the company's overall financial model and projections in close collaboration with financial sponsor· Actively participate in and contribute to corporate strategic plan development alongside Executive Leadership Team and business units· Analyze market segments, market trends and competitive landscape and expansion geographies to provide sound recommendations to CEO and Executive Leadership Team· Prepare various internal and external reporting documents and presentations, including Board of Directors presentations and other reports· Build out data dashboards for metric and KPI tracking using Power BI, Tableau or other similar tools· Lead preparation and analysis of new commercial opportunities· Support M&A integration planning and execution, along with other business and functional personnelMinimum Qualifications:· 2 years of work experience, ideally in investment banking, management consulting or related fields· Bachelor's Degree, preferably a BBA or BA in Finance or BS in Engineering, and an undergraduate GPA of 3.5 or higher· Ability to create and manage robust, dynamic Excel-based financial models, along with pivot tables and sensitivity analyses· Strong analytical and written skills, to include high-level (i.e., Board of Directors and Capital Markets) presentation preparation· Requires excellent time management, organizational and overall team-oriented communication abilitiesPhysical Demands and Work Environment:· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer· Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times· Will require travel as needed up to 10% of the timeAbout the Company:Established in 2023 and headquartered in Houston, TX, this company is dedicated to bringing the fastest, most reliable home and business fiber optic internet to Texas and beyond.
