Civil Designer

Civil DesignWe are seeking a talented and experienced Civil Site Designer or Civil Engineer to join our growing team. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in site civil design, including commercial development and K-12 projects. The successful candidate will have of experience in site civil design, with the ability to work independently and contribute effectively from day one.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop site plans for commercial and K-12 developments, focusing on grading, drainage, utility design, and site layout.Utilize AutoCAD 3D to develop detailed civil site design drawings and plans.Prepare and submit plans for permitting with Harris County and the City of Houston.Work collaboratively with other engineers, designers, and project managers to meet project requirements and deadlines.Create accurate cut-and-fill volume calculations using AutoCAD 3D (preferred but not required).Generate standard plan and profile drawings to meet City of Houston standards.Size site storm sewers and work with detention pond calculations and design for compliance with City of Houston and Harris County standards.Assist with design analysis and provide support during construction administration as needed.Qualifications:4 to 10 years of hands-on experience in site civil design, including site development for commercial and educational (K-12) projects.Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D is required. Experience with AutoCAD for civil design projects is a must.Experience with Harris County and City of Houston plan submittals and permitting processes.Knowledge of basic storm sewer sizing and detention pond design, particularly within City of Houston and Harris County guidelines.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively managing multiple tasks.Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and terested candidates please send resume in Word format to Please reference job code 133896 when responding to this ad.
