We offer innovative solutions that ensure success across all project phases while maintaining high quality and safety standards.About the role: Our team is looking for a Senior Rotating Mechanical Engineer to be responsible for the design, maintenance and operation of rotating machinery (pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, fans, heat exchangers, piping systems, generators) to support power generation operations. This role requires a strong understanding of power generation principles, rotating equipment, and thermal systems.About you:10+ years' experience in an industrial facility or engineering projectsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required, Masters degree preferredProven experience with gas turbines and steam turbine generators (Mitsubishi preferred)Strong knowledge of mechanical design, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.Familiarity with condition monitoring and diagnostic tools (vibration analysis, thermography, etc)Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skillsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesKnowledge of industry standards (ISO, ASME, API)Responsibilities:Design and select rotating equipment based on project requirements, performance standards, and reliability considerations.Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations for rotating equipment.Supervise or coordinate the installation and commissioning of rotating machinery.Ensure equipment is installed correctly, according to the specifications, and operates within the required parameters.Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to ensure the reliability of rotating equipment.Troubleshoot and resolve any performance issues or failures in rotating equipment.Oversee repairs and upgrades to rotating machinery.Monitor equipment performance through regular inspections and data analysis (vibration, temperature, etc.).Use condition monitoring tools and techniques to predict equipment failure and plan maintenance accordingly.Ensure the safety of rotating equipment and personnel by following safety standards and best practices.Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate risks associated with rotating machinery.Work closely with other engineering teams (e.g., electrical, mechanical, and process engineers) to ensure seamless integration of rotating equipment.Prepare technical reports, documentation, and maintenance schedules.Provide technical support for operational teams regarding rotating equipment issues.Identify opportunities for optimizing equipment performance, reliability, and energy efficiency.Work may involve both office and field-based tasks, including on-site troubleshooting, inspections and overseeing installations.All candidates must be local to Houston, TX and have valid US Work Authorization.
