Corporate Accountant

The successful candidate will work closely with senior Finance leaders, as well as Leadership across the firm, including C-level executives. Finance and Business Management entails a wide array of tasks and responsibilities pertaining to both day-to-day operations and long-term firm strategy, including but not limited to:Financial analysis and reportingBudgeting and forecastingMonth-end close and consolidationsKey vendor managementPayroll and benefits administrationIT management and infrastructureHR and recruitingLegal entity managementAd-hoc tasks as neededThe successful candidate will have the opportunity to perform meaningful financial planning and analysis and will be involved in a variety of global, cross-functional projects and initiatives. This is a very multi-faceted role where the successful candidate will perform a wide variety of functions while supporting the development of a best-in-class Finance and Accounting organization.Primary ResponsibilitiesFull p&l modeling, budgeting, and analysisImplement and produce accurate, timely, and meaningful KPI reportingParticipate in monthly close and completion of reporting packages for LeadershipPrepare supporting schedules for Leadership and external auditorsStreamline and document various processesManage relationships with key vendorsAd-hoc reportingprojectsRequired Skills and ExperienceBachelor's Degree in a Business field, ideally Finance andor AccountingApproximately 4-6 years total work experienceAbility to independently interact with a wide array of stakeholders, including third partiesIntermediate to advanced Excel skills are an absolute must (familiarity with lookups, indexmatch, sumifs, nested conditional statements, pivot tables, dashboard creation, etc.)Comfort with Excel based financial models. Must be able to quickly navigate and understand complex spreadsheetsKnowledge of accountancybookkeeping or a willingness and capability to quickly develop this skillsetA keen eye for detail and presentationCommercially minded across all tasksProven success in conveying the "story" that succinctly summarizes various inputs and dataFlexibility and willingness to take on tasks outside the scope of a traditional Finance roleA versatile thinker able to run new tasks and projectsAbility to operate in a fast-paced, at times ambiguous environmentExtremely organized and able to manage various time-sensitive deliverablesPreferred Skills and ExperienceBig 4 or FinanceAccounting experience at a large bank or financial services firm is a BIG plusCPA is desirable but not requiredProject managementExposure to annual audit processInterest in and knowledge of markets and ETFsfinancial productsERP implementation experienceFamiliarity with data analytics tools outside of Excel (eg.
