Quality Engineer

JOB SUMMARYThis role will be involved in assessment of production and other operations to establishreview National Pump Company's standard work processes andor improve efficiencies. Compiles documents, analysis and reporting on standard operating procedures, manufacturing records, and corrective actions. Conducts process assessments and works with departments to improve and document processes.SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTSThis position has no direct reports. But supports the Director of Quality for training and supporting department personnel to meet specific metrics associated with their positions.DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSEvaluate operations and documents for compliance and improvement.Document and track conditionsissues on processes and process documentation to ensure compliance throughout all departments. Verify records adhere to QMS requirements.Perform investigations of conditionsissues to develop actions to prevent recurrence.Prepare documents, reports and analysis on processes.Identify and implement programs to address conditionsissues related to production and quality.Assist with deployment of new process documents to correct issues, measure and monitor effectiveness.Prepare materials and records of quality related information for distribution to management.Additional duties andor projects as assigned by Director of Quality.OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvides support to employees in support of the National Pump Company QMS.QUALIFICATIONSRequiredBachelor of Science in Engineering or other technical discipline5+ years of experience in quality activitiesDemonstrated knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Standard requirementsStrong computer skills (typing, word processing, excel, data entry)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsProblem analysis and problem-solvingAttention to detail and accuracy a mustAbility to multi-task and prioritize in deadline driven environmentKnowledge of productions processes, quality costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.PreferredASQ CertificationSix Sigma GBLean Manufacturing GBInternal Auditor trainingexperienceBasic knowledge of vertical pumpscomponents (1+ years).
