Industrial ElectricianIndependence, OH $37HRPosition Overview: We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team in Walton Hills, Ohio. The ideal candidate will perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on complex industrial equipment and systems, ensuring smooth and safe operations at our chemical manufacturing facility. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and benefits, with opportunities for growth and development.Key Responsibilities:Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems, including ACDC circuits, 3-phase power (up to 480V), and motor stall, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical equipment such as motors, drives, control panels, transformers, and PLC systems.Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure operational terpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to resolve complex electrical issues.Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to program, troubleshoot, and modify system operations as required.Diagnose and repair issues with variable frequency drives (VFDs), soft starters, and other electronic components.Maintain and troubleshoot plant power distribution systems and related equipment.Perform installations and upgrades of electrical systems to meet evolving plant requirements.Collaborate with other maintenance team members to resolve mechanical and process-related issues.Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and other safety and environmental standards in all electrical work.Record maintenance activities, parts usage, and system performance data in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).Provide emergency response and troubleshooting support during equipment breakdowns or power failures.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate's degree in Electrical Technology or completion of a state-approved apprenticeship (preferred).Minimum of 5 years' experience as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing or chemical processing environment.Strong understanding of 3-phase power systems, electrical troubleshooting, and repair techniques.Experience with PLC systems (Allen-Bradley preferred) and automation controls.Familiarity with VFDs, soft starters, and power distribution systems.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.Proficient in the use of electrical testing equipment, such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and thermal imaging cameras.Working knowledge of OSHA standards, NEC regulations, and plant safety procedures.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.Must provide personal hand tools necessary for the role.Preferred Skills:Experience in a chemical manufacturing or similar industrial environment.Familiarity with hazardous material handling and safety protocols.Understanding of process instrumentation and control systems.Basic mechanical skills for cross-functional maintenance support.
