By staying at the forefront of innovation and excellence, EO Solutions consistently meets the evolving challenges of today's aerospace and defense sectors.Job Description:We are seeking a talented and innovative Senior Optical Engineer to contribute to our diverse range of projects in the space domain awareness (SDA) field. This role involves engaging in cutting-edge research and development to enhance our capabilities in monitoring, understanding, and characterizing space objects and phenomena. You will play a crucial role in advancing our optical systems for space surveillance and tracking.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop optical systems for space surveillance, including active and passive sensors.Conduct trade studies and simulations for optical system design and performance assessment.Develop and implement algorithms for image processing, data analysis, and object tracking in space.Participate in system integration, testing, and validation in relevant environments.Collaborate with cross-functional teams for the development of space domain awareness solutions.Engage in the entire project lifecycle, from concept development to deployment.Stay updated with the latest advancements in optical technologies relevant to space applications.Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in the development of optical systems.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.Experience in optical system design and analysis, particularly for space applications.Hands on experience aligning optical systems.Knowledge of space environment and its impact on optical systems.Proficiency in optical simulation and design software. Zemax preferred, although Code V, Fred, Synopsis, or equivalent are acceptable.Familiarity with data processing and image analysis techniques.Familiarity with CAD, specifically SolidWorks is preferred.Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Any experience with MATLAB, python or similar programming language.Why Join EO Solutions?At EO Solutions, our people are our greatest asset.
