The Ranger Group, a leading US Engineering Solutions provider to companies across the Aerospace & Defense, Medical Device, Electronics and Industrial Manufacturing industries, is currently seeking a Systems Engineer for a Direct Hire role with a leading Aerospace & Defense Contractor in the Dallas Area. This role will require work to be completed 100% Onsite.The primary roles for this position are to: Participate in satellite systems design, engineering support services, training activities, and take direction from a senior level engineer or manager; participate in delivering engineering services including design, testing, troubleshooting and analysis; work alongside peers to drive innovative program and solutions; and complete engineering projects in a timely, thorough, and accurate manner. Job Duties:Provide engineering support to customers, sales and operations for satellite communications, including testing, system design, troubleshooting, documenting solutions and applying principles of electrical, physics and material scienceAssure system and product quality by designing test methods, testing finished product and system capabilities, and confirming assembly and installation processesPrepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trendsTroubleshoot design or fabrication problems with electrical and electromechanical systems, identify root cause of problems, and develop and implement creative and pragmatic solutionsProvide engineering information by answering questions and requestsMaintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulationsProduce technically sound designs which meet contract requirements, good engineering practices and solve the customer's needs andor problemsMaintain awareness of current state-of-the-art technologies and trends in electrical engineering and suggest product improvement ideasTravel may be required as needed, including both domestic and internationalProvide high level technical support to customers and other departmentsProvide training to employees and customersPerform other miscellaneous duties as requestedRequirements:Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field from ABET-accredited programExperience integrating electromechanical components in custom enclosuresRF KnowledgeExcellent electrical aptitudeHands on, mechanical aptitude is a plusUnderstanding of TCPIP, routing and switchingCAD design software a plus (AutoCAD, Draftsight, Visio, etc.)Familiarity with Configuration Management Tools (Solidworks PDM) a plusAbility to solve non-routine problems by integrating relevant resourcesAbility to work effectively both as an individual contributor and as a member of cross-functional teamsExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work with aggressive program schedulesAbility to prioritize and support multiple tasksCandidates must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance upon hire
