Lead Field Service Technician - Electrical SystemsA growing provider of electrical maintenance and testing services is looking for an experienced Lead Field Service Technician to join its expanding team. This role is ideal for proactive individuals who thrive in both independent and team-based environments, with a strong commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.Role OverviewThe Lead Field Service Technician will oversee on-site operations, ensuring electrical systems are maintained, tested, and repaired to industry standards. This position involves hands-on work, technical troubleshooting, and leadership responsibilities to guide field teams while maintaining clear communication with clients. Extensive travel is required, with assignments typically lasting between one to three weeks. Travel benefits and flexible scheduling are provided, ensuring a balanced workload.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate field service activities, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.Perform diagnostic testing, maintenance, and repair on electrical power systems.Assist with complex troubleshooting using electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.Review and manage daily job site documentation, including safety procedures, lockouttagout processes, timesheets, and test reports.Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.Qualifications & ExperienceRequired:At least 2 years of experience working with 480V power systems, electrical testing, power distribution, or related fields.Expertise in one or more of the following: Journeyman or Master Electrician certificationGenerator maintenance and power generation systemsMilitary electrical or nuclear power trainingTransformer, breaker, and cable testing (TTR, Power Factor, Hi-Pot, SecondaryPrimary Injection)Experience in manufacturing, data centers, or power plantsArmy Prime Power School trainingValid driver's license with a clean record.Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs, working in confined spaces, climbing ladders, and performing fieldwork for extended periods.Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, Adobe Reader, email tools).Strong familiarity with electrical hand tools and testing equipment.Prior experience leading technical teams or managing on-site operations.Preferred:Military background with electrical or mechanical expertise.Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.Master Electrician's A or NICET Certification (Level 2 or higher).Broad experience with electrical diagnostic tools and testing methods.Additional DetailsFull-time position with travel required (up to 75%).Assignments are typically one to three weeks long, with a maximum of four consecutive weeks in one location.Relocation within a reasonable commuting distance of Tacoma, WA, is petitive benefits package including: 401(k) with employer matchHealth, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurancePaid time off and holidaysHealth savings account optionsEmployee referral programOscar Associates Limited (US) is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
