This senior leadership role will lead the design and development of vehicle design and the reentry systems for a next-generation hypersonic vehicle. This is a rare opportunity to lead a clean-sheet vehicle design, guiding a talented team through the architecture, development, and production.Key Responsibilities:Manage a highly skilled engineering team to execute on vehicle design and development.Lead the design and development of advanced aerospace systems, focusing on areas such as flight test, primary structures, aerodynamics, GNC, and thermal protection.Oversee the full lifecycle of the vehicle, from simulation & analysis to production & testing.Drive technical decision-making and program-level strategy for clean-sheet design.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.10+ years of engineering experience, including substantial senior management experience.5+ years of experience in vehicle design, aerodynamics, and advanced flight technologies.Proven ability to manage and deliver aerospace projects from concept through production.Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and testing aerospace vehicles, with a focus on hypersonic, supersonic, or reentry applications (e.g., hypersonic glide vehicles).Expertise in hypersonic programs, including CFD, aerodynamics, and thermal analysis.Experience leading teams in lofting OMLs and topology optimization for aerodynamic vehicles.Understanding of wind tunnel campaigns and aerodynamic testing processes.Background in both requirements definition and CFD, with hands-on involvement in the full design process.Proficiency in topology optimization and vehicle design, with experience in shaping and molding aerodynamic structures.Preferred Qualifications:Advanced degree in related field.Experience building and managing an engineering team from the ground up.Ideal Candidate: A visionary leader who excels in leading multidisciplinary teams, combining deep technical expertise with hands-on involvement to deliver innovative, high-performance systems from concept to production.🌟 This role offers the chance to shape the future of aerospace innovation while tackling unique technical challenges.
