The successful candidate will engage in detailed research and analysis of companies within their assigned sector, contributing significantly to idea generation. Ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of buyside experience in a similar role with a focus on Software as well as 2+ years of additional relevant experience on the buy-side or sell-side.As an Analyst, you will report directly to a Portfolio Manager, a partner with a 20+ year tenure at our firm. From day one, you will assume a substantial role in the investment process, handling a range of responsibilities and gaining meaningful exposure. This role represents an excellent chance to develop and advance as an investor within our supportive and dynamic environment.RESPONSIBILITIESConduct company and industry fundamental research to develop a deep understanding of key business and industry drivers within the coverage universe and other relatedadjacent industries.Clearly and effectively communicate and articulate actionable equity ideas to teract and maintain positive relationships with company management and other industry participants while growing a meaningful network of business contacts globally.Create, maintain, and update company financial models.Explore and stay informed of emerging trendsinitiativescompanies which are or who may become important innovators.Attend roadshows, meetings, conferences and other company or industry events as required.DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEQualifications: The ideal candidate will have:Bachelor's degree required complemented by a strong academic record from a competitive institutionprogram including successful coursework in Accounting & Finance.Minimum 4+ years of relevant work experience conducting investment research or financial analysis comprised of: Minimum 2+ years of buy-side public equity research experience focused on Software companies AND minimum 2+ years of additional investment analysis experience such as Investment Banking, Equity Research, Private Equity or similar.Demonstrated passion for the equity markets, investing and analyzing companies as well as passioninterest in the subject matter.Professional experience building financial models combined with strong accounting petencies:To perform the job successfully, an individual should excel in the following areas:Research Problem Solving- the individual displays strong technical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Consistent with New York City's Pay Transparency Law, the currently anticipated base salary range for this role is $175,000 to $225,000, which is specific to New York City and New York State. When crafting an offer of employment and total compensation package for candidates, the Firm may incorporate a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, an individual's experience level and qualifications.
