This role is ideal for a motivated and energetic salesperson with at least 5 years of sales experience, preferably in consumer goods or outdoor products.The Sales Representative will be responsible for expanding into new business categories and re-engaging former customers who have previously done business with Westfield Outdoors. This position requires a proactive, "missionary" sales approach"”identifying new opportunities, rekindling relationships, and driving growth in underdeveloped markets. The ideal candidate thrives on prospecting, relationship-building, and opening doors with potential customers.This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic and supportive sales team, gain exposure to a wide range of accounts, and help shape the future growth of Westfield Outdoors. The Sales Representative will report to the Vice President of Sales.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Customer ReactivationIdentify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities in emerging product categories and untapped markets.Reconnect with former customers, understand their past concerns, and develop tailored solutions to bring them back as active partners.Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential accounts through strategic prospecting and outreach.Sales Strategy & ExecutionDevelop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand the company's customer base and achieve sales targets.Present Westfield Outdoors' products and capabilities in a compelling manner to prospective clients.Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure new and renewed business partnerships.Relationship Building & Account ManagementEstablish and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers in retail, distribution, and e-commerce.Provide outstanding customer service to ensure high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding each customer's needs and aligning Westfield Outdoors' products and solutions to meet those needs.Market Research & Competitive AnalysisMonitor industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activity to identify new sales opportunities.Gather customer feedback to inform product development and innovation.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of sales initiatives.Travel & Trade ShowsAttend industry trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings to build brand awareness and drive new business opportunities.Travel as needed to meet with current and prospective customers.Required QualificationsEducation & Experience5+ years of sales experience, preferably in consumer goods, outdoor products, or a related industry.Proven track record of business development, new customer acquisition, and reactivating former accounts.Experience with strategic prospecting, outreach, and customer relationship management.Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.Key CompetenciesHighly motivated, self-starter with a hunter mentality.Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.Ability to analyze customer needs and tailor sales strategies accordingly.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.Ability to manage multiple sales projects in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of outdoor industry trends and consumer buying behaviors is a plus.Technical SkillsProficient:Microsoft ExcelMicrosoft PowerPointMicrosoft WordCompensation & BenefitsSalary Range: $60,000 - $100,000 per year, plus bonus (not a commission position).Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and 401(k).Travel and expense reimbursement for customer visits and industry events.Opportunities for professional growth within a fast-paced, growing company.
