You will drive collaboration with cross-functional teams, leverage technical strategy and best practices, and lead the successful execution of projects. In this role, you will further develop technical subject-matter expertise while contributing significantly to MFT's growth and innovation. What You'll DoActively lead and or participate in project teams focused on New Product Development, Continuous Product Improvement, or Feature Innovation.Lead the design, testing, and reviews for refrigeration-based sealed systems across all product lines as a functional expertLead problem solving activities using 8D methodology to identify root cause of issues and oversee developmentimplementation of a corrective action plan.Utilize mathematical and computer-based engineering analyses to design innovative and reliable solutions for cooling systems across many different product typesDevelop technical drawings, models, and specifications using engineering software and toolsConduct testing, collect and analyze data, and interpret test results to evaluate the performance, reliability, and safety of engineering solutionsIdentify areas for improvement, troubleshoot technical issues, and propose and implement design modifications of existing product linesLead collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure project goals are metStay up to date with the latest advancements, industry trends, and technological innovations in cooling systems, sealed systems, and refrigerated product designsActively participate in continuous learning and professional development activities, including attending training programs, workshops, and conferencesWho You AreIndependent Self-Starter: Takes prompt, proactive action to accomplish work goals with limited oversightCollaborative Partner: Uses interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with cross-functional teamsStrategic Thinker: Relies on analytical and problem-solving skills to think strategically and execute tacticallyClear Communicator: Speaks and writes effectively to convey technical information, project requirements, and progress updates to team members and stakeholders SkillsExperience We're Looking ForIce maker refrigeration design and system balancing experienceExperience with flammable, low-GWP refrigerants and control system safety.Strong knowledge and understanding of engineering principles and concepts as they relate to sealed systems and cooling methodsProficiency in thermal simulation softwareAbility to plan and oversee laboratory testing with hands-on approach to prototype developmentAbility to organize and manage multiple sub-projects in parallel, or multiple system variants in different stages of a projectStrong attention to detail and accuracy in workEffective interpersonal skills and the ability to convey technical information clearlyAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environmentRequired QualificationsBachelor's or Master's in Engineering or a related field10+ years of relevant experience in an engineering roleBenefitsWe support your well-being with comprehensive and easy-to-use benefits that you'll be eligible to enroll in on your first day of employment.
