Persistent Systems is looking for an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to support the company's Manufacturing functions. Working with the Manufacturing and Quality Engineering teams, you will be responsible for making process improvements to the company's manufacturing processes for its line of products, ensuring the company continues to meet its production goals through rapid growth periods. This role will require involvement in a multifunctional environment within engineering, supply chain, operations, and quality. Position Responsibilities 'Engineering to Production hand-over' for new and existing productsEnsure product documentation, training, tools, equipment, and procedures are identified, defined, documented, and implemented prior to product release Utilize value stream mapping techniques to identify, understand, and minimize bottlenecks within existing production processes Team up with engineering in developing manufacturing processes and test equipment for our ever-growing line of products Own in-house and external manufacturing processes Work with Quality and Operations in identifying and correcting undesirable trends Develop and document manufacturing methods and process improvements to reduce cost and cycle time, with a focus on lean principles Promote sustainment by performing case studies for the various processes, procedures, and products and ensure standardization Report on manufacturing line status and bridge gap analysis to the operations management team Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical test systems and industrial equipment Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical discipline or equivalent experience 0-2 years of direct experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment Experience developing and implementing process improvements Experience with Lean Six Sigma methods and systems Experience with hands-on assembly, testing, and troubleshooting Must have United States security clearance or the ability to obtain United States security clearance Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer, or mechanical engineering Experience in electronics manufacturing Experience in the Aerospace andor Defense industry Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management standards Software programming experience CAD & 3D printing experience
