Compensation: $185,000 yearly Responsibilities: Keep apprised of changes to local, state, and federal statutes and laws Prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requestsresponses Counsel associates to resolve or prevent conflicts Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings Qualifications: Persuasive writing skills and verbal communication skills are critical, along with time management and interpersonal skills Prior experience representing clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration Bachelor's degree with a law degree from an accredited law school (such as an LLM, JSD, or J.D. degree) Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision 7 - 10 years of experience as a litigation attorney for business, construction, or real estate litigation.
